The most recent National Adult Literacy Survey estimates that 12% of Wabash County adults function at the lowest level of literacy (limited reading ability). An additional 30% are functionally illiterate (cannot read a newspaper, contract, directions on the job, or a prescription).

The Wabash County Literacy Coordinator is housed in the Learn More Center in North Manchester. The Learn More Center provides literacy tutoring and training for residents of Wabash County. Literacy services are confidential and no cost to students and tutors.
